High-pressure HDPE is a systems sale: pipe grade, fittings, clamps, cooling discipline, and traceable joint records where clients demand them. We wholesale electrofusion fittings, compatible PE100 pipe, and related tooling to contractors and merchants from Alrode South, Alberton, with national drops where freight makes sense.
Before a number goes on a quote we look for SDR/PN alignment, OD consistency, and whether the crew will electrofuse in a trench or prefab in a workshop. That is slower than listing a diameter and hoping. It is how you avoid a coil that cannot take the fittings already approved on the panel.
6m sticks versus 50m coils
PE100 pressure pipe on this desk is commonly quoted as straight 6m sticks or 50m coils. Coils cut joint count on smaller services and rural runs. Sticks are the practical format once the outside diameter and wall make a coil unsafe or unusable on site.
Listed examples (confirm availability when you enquire):
- 75mm HDPE pipe PE100 PN6, 50m: a smaller coil, often used where fewer joints beat a truck of shorts.
- 110mm HDPE pipe PE100 PN8, 50m: a coil format on a mid-size service OD.
- 160mm HDPE pipe PE100 PN6, 6m: a stick format at a lower pressure class, typical when the drawing wants a larger OD without a high PN.
- 200mm HDPE pipe PE100 PN6, 6m: a larger stick; offload and stringing change versus 110mm coils.
- 250mm HDPE pipe PE100 PN6, 6m: a civils-scale stick that needs a laydown plan, not a counter collection.
- 355mm HDPE pipe PE100 PN8, 6m: large-bore PN8/SDR21. Buying notes live on the 355mm HDPE pipe guide.
Do not treat those pages as a stock board. They are worked examples of how we name OD, material, PN, and length. Ask the branch which classes and lengths are on the current list.
If the spec is silent on length format, say how you will string, test, and handle the pipe. A 50m coil that nobody can unroll in the servitude is not a saving.
SDR and PN have to match the fittings
SDR is outside diameter divided by wall. PN is the catalogue pressure class under the manufacturer’s reference conditions. Ordering “110mm PE100” without both is how crews weld the wrong wall to the right coupler.
We use the same catalogue pairings explained in HDPE pipe SDR and PN explained. Read that before you mix SDR17 fittings onto an SDR26 main because the OD looked the same. For large-bore buying logic, including why class and length move the quote, see the 355mm HDPE pipe guide.
Use the HDPE pipe weight chart to plan transport and trench handling. It is a method with worked examples, not a design table. Confirm mass per metre on the current manufacturer datasheet when the lift plan matters.
We will flag SDR/PN mismatches on a BOM. We will not silently “make it work” with a thinner wall.
What systems thinking means on this desk
Tell us whether you need datalogging and which export format the client’s QA file expects. Many water and industrial clients want joint evidence. If your site requires it, say so up front so we do not propose a machine that cannot deliver the file.
Also say whether the run is municipal reticulation, an estate backbone, or an industrial loop. Each context changes acceptable bend geometry, thrust restraint, and testing paperwork. We are comfortable saying confirm with the project engineer when a tender line is ambiguous. That protects your handover.
Fire-rated and specialty pipe
We wholesale related civils and water lines. We do not run a separate fire-rated HDPE hub. If a pack names FR, fire-listed, or a specialist compound, send the spec clause and the manufacturer product designation. We quote that duty from the datasheet, or we tell you we cannot.
Do not infer a fire listing from a black PE100 water pipe page.

Training and handover
We are not a certified training body. We can introduce manufacturer-aligned guidance and help assemble starter kits for new teams (machines, scrapers, clamps, barcode readers where used). Long-form guidance lives on the blog. Urgent supply sits with the branch in Alrode South.
When to call instead of browsing
Call when you have same-day jointing risk, non-standard SDR mixes, or foreign pipe stamps on a repair. Photos of barcodes and ends help us narrow compatible SKUs before you drive across Gauteng.
