Compression fittings remain one of the fastest ways to get a reliable mechanical joint on PE without a fusion machine on site. For merchants, they are also a high-velocity shelf category when the branch stocks the right OD coverage and transition geometry for local building and civils patterns.
Where compression wins in the field
Contractors reach for compression when:
- A tight repair window does not justify EF setup.
- A temporary bypass must come apart later.
- A building services tie-in needs a threaded or copper transition that fusion skids do not solve neatly.
