Process water skid — valve and flange package (anonymised)

Supply of isolation and check valves with companion gaskets and studs for a packaged skid where face-to-face dimensions were tightly constrained.

Challenge

The OEM skid drawing revision landed mid-order, changing flange classes on two lines while the ship date did not move.

Solution

We stopped the pick, revalidated remaining items against the new revision, swapped two valve bodies for correct class, and air-freighted only the delta instead of duplicating the whole kit.

Results

  • Avoided installing wrong-class valves on a hydro test day
  • Reduced duplicate freight versus a full re-kit
  • Preserved trust with the mechanical contractor for the next phase

Demonstrates revision discipline on valve packages — a frequent failure mode on fast-track plants.
